Felines & Canines has been amazing before, during, and after the adoption process!! The team did a great job getting a sense of what I was looking for so they could help me find the perfect pet. During my adoption appointment the staff was so friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. They give plenty of time to interact with their cats so you don't feel rushed at all. They also encourage all adopters to keep in touch and have even answered my questions since bringing my new pet home. If you're looking to adopt, I'd 100% recommend this shelter! :)

They were super helpful in helping me find my gorgeous girl Frank. I came in with a clear idea of what type of cat would fit best with my current situation and cat, what health needs I’m capable of taking care of, general age and temperament, so always recommend doing your research on what’s best for your situation and allow them to guide you to the right animal for you! First photo is the day we brought her home and the second is her now with her new brother!

I recently adopted my Dustbunny from Felines & Canines. Samantha was great at helping me find a cat during my visit. I told her the kind of cat I was hoping to adopt and she pointed out some matches. During my appointment I had plenty of time to interact with the many cats in their cat room to find a good match. Great place to adopt and I'm glad I went there. My cat came home healthy and happy and she is doing well!

We have had a wonderful experience with these folks. They truly care about the well being of each and every one of these fur babies. They are very prompt with communication and are there for you throughout the entire process. Thank you again for connecting us with our new family member. We had a great experience here. First off, the staff was very friendly from start to finish, both in the pre-visit process, and when we took quite a while to pick out a cat. They also take great care of the animals. The cats are well-fed & cared for, have plenty of space and enrichment items, and the staff seem to really know the animals, and give them lots of attention. Secondly, we really liked the atmosphere for adoption. In a lot of shelters, you interact with the cats held in cages, and then pick one to interact with in a visiting room. While I don't think there's anything wrong with this approach, we liked the setup at Felines and Canines because all the cats share a very large 3-part room (except for the cats who aren't able to socialize for behavior or health reasons) with plenty of windows, things to climb on, places to sleep, toys to play with, etc. The benefit of this is that you can see exactly how all the cats interact with each other, with the space, and with you. It's very easy to see who the most people-friendly cats are, or at least who the most outgoing ones are, and also to see which cats get a little fussy with others and would likely do better in a one-cat home. Lastly, they have a ton, TON of wonderful cats. We were overwhelmed, in a positive way, by all the sweet cats we got to interact with, and it felt very difficult to chose because there were so many wonderful cats around. They also have several kitten rooms too, and let me tell you, these kittens are adorable and sweet and very social. We ended up with a kitten and an older cat, both of whom are incredibly sweet and social, both with people and with each other. After we had picked which cats we wanted to bring home, the rest of the process was quick and painless. The cats were checked out one last time, we were given the vaccination records etc., given medicine for the kitten's cough and told how to administer it, we signed, paid, and they gave us out kitties. All in all, if you're looking for a place with friendly staff, a stress-free process, and lots of sweet cats, this is your place. Update: even after an extended cold and need for more meds, the staff continues to be friendly and helpful, always allowing us to bring our kitties in for a checkup or to get more medicine if need be. And our girls are the SWEETEST— super well socialized with both humans and cats, loving and affectionate, and so happy to be living with us. We seriously couldn’t have asked for a better experience or better cats.
